New beginnings

What a blast.

I decided to re-revive my blog after more than two years of inactivity. There are couple of reasons for it as I'm starting a live stream on twitch (http://www.twitch.tv/aca_90), and another one is that I'm making a new challenge.

During two years of inactivity, it has been a real roller coaster poker-wise and life-wise for me. Life-wise I can't cry a lot since it's been fun rude most of the time. I sailed into relationship with my best friend, but it didn't go too well because it seemed like we're not made for each other + she didn't like what I was doing for living (probably the main reason). We've been hanging around for almost a year, and then broke up after which I had real problems that have affected to both my poker career and mental attitude. The downswing at poker (not really sure if it was downswing or just bad plays) started and it lasted for almost 6 months. As they would say, it was only time that needed to get over it. And they were right.

Couple of months after breaking up, I joined staking group which  proved to be the best possible option for me. I had a fine deal with them and got even better since September 2016th as both parties were more than satisfied. The graph below is my winnings graph after I joined the group:

As you can see, after I joined the group I rocketed up, then a downswing right after the new deal, but nothing to worry about. I worked really hard, played LOTS and knew that with hard work there can be no mistake.

In the middle of downswing, I decided to go to Malta for The Battle of Malta tournament, which wasn't really good idea now looking back to it, but I won't regret it since I had really good time with roommate (Velja_Jaksic @ PokerStars) and the rest of the Serbian players there. Too bad I bubbled the Main Event. Really thought that would cheer me up and get my mindset back in right shape.

Beautiful Malta

However, on the beginning of December, I cleared up my make-up for the group, then shipped another tournament from Mini-series on PokerStars.fr for another 10k for split. Also, I attended another live event in Grand Casino, Belgrade. It was Winter Poker Festival where I played only main event and got to the final table but lost a flip for stack at the beginning of it and finished 9th. Still nice prize for it.

Right after I thought I'm fine, it was just too good to be true. They closed PokerStars.fr which used to be my new favourite poker room so only residents of France could play there from that day. I was struggling to find a replacement and thought PokerStars.com would be the best choice since I adore the software and the tournaments overall there.
Some time before trip to Malta, I had started another relationship, which ended in the middle of December and I was going nuts for unknown reasons, went to live cash games too high for my bankroll and busted almost whole roll. Harsh times again. I was trying to keep my mind clear and do what I do the best - grind it up agian. My ex-roommate also moved back to our hometown, so I was left all alone. Feeling alone, I decided to get myself a dog to have someone to make friends with :). Lucky enough, I got beautiful Samoyed dog who I named Pablo under impression of Narcos series (yes, he is white, and yes, it is related to Pablo Escobar).

New best friend - Pablo

To be honest, I thought it would have been easy getting him to right way and training him but even tho he is really smart and knows all the commands, Northern dogs are quite stubborn and ain't giving sh*t what I'm telling him :)).
Since then I straightened up my mindset and continued.

The grind went quite fine and today I finally decided to start live streaming my poker sessions for several reasons, but most important ones are - trying to keep my game on A level, and another one is, let's be honest, profits. I don't mind much about if my channel will remain alive, get much publicity or not, I'm sure I'll stream at least 3 weeks a month. It's still test period for it, but I'm sure it will get better and better as time goes on. Once again, link to the stream is http://www.twitch.tv/Aca_90 (appreciate the follow already :P)

THE CHALLENGE

The goal is to make 20k profits during the 3 month period during which I will stream every or at least really big part of my sessions.
I will be playing MTTs from 5-55$ buy in, probably some higher if I satellite or get admission from the stake holders.
Feel free to join the channel and comment, suggest and contribute to it! Everyone is welcome!

I know there are lots of things missing in the story but I hope this short text could display part of the 2 year struggle and hope you still had a good read.

Cheers,
Aleksandar
